Day 02 - Cochin |
Today morning after breakfast you can go for the sightseeing of Cochin. Here you can see the St Francis Church, the oldest Church in India, 500 year old Portuguese Houses, Cantilevered Chinese fishing nets, 16th century Synagogue, Jew Town and Mattancherry Palace, built by Portuguese, this Palace contains some of India’s most beautiful murals. Evening go for shopping. Overnight at Hotel Fort House.

Day 03 - Cochin |
In the morning (6am), drive to the Kodanad Elephant Training Centre. You will get an opportunity to be up and close with the elephants and can participate in their bathing and feeding. Elephant rides will also be possible. Rest of the day free to relax and overnight stay at Fort House

Today morning after breakfast, prodeed to Palakkad, rightfully known as the Gateway of Kerala, giving the rest of India access to the State. Its other name is Palghat was contributed by British Raj. Palakkad is a land of palm trees and paddy fields. It's known to be rich in flora and fauna. On arrival check into a Heritage Homestay. In the afternoon have a nice walking to a river and in the plantations. Visit to a handloom factory. Rest of the day relax. Over night at heritage home stay - Olappamanna Mana.

Day 05 - Wayanad |
Morning after breakfast proceed to Wayanad set in the picturesque Western Ghats and mountains at an altitude of about 2000 meters above sea level. Littered with tropical rain forests, dense hills, rolling paddy fields, spice plantations and valleys, Wayanad is a hitherto undiscovered location offering breathtaking views. Today you can visit the Wayanad sanctuary where you may find animals like sloth bears, sambhar (wild deer), elephants, monkeys, tigers, reptiles, deer, panthers, and many species of rare birds. Later visit the Edakkal Caves. It is a pre-historic rock shelter formed naturally out of a strange disposition of three huge boulders making one to rest on the other two with its bottom jutting out in between and serving as the roof. Day 07 - Wayanad |
Drive to Kuruva Island, an uninhabited island, a cluster of them infract, in the middle of the expansive Kabini River. The island’s preservation and the eco tourism around it is managed by the participation of the local population living around it and the forest department. The guide practically helps you to navigate your way around the island. Also they are knowledgeable about the general environment and the ecology of the island. He can even take you to the ‘less trodden’ paths you would have otherwise unnoticed or skipped. Though touring Kuruva Island is known to be safe, the company of an experienced guide can be a bit reassuring especially when there are not many visitors around. Overnight at Pranavam Home Stay

Today morning after breakfast proceed to Calicut. On arrival, check into you hotel. It was in Calicut that the great voyager Vasco Da Gama landed in the 14th century in his quest for spices thus putting it on the world map. The traditional capital of North Kerala and a leading trading centre for spices on the west, the city has retained its glorious past and presents travellers with historic sites and a unique culture. Overnight stay at Harivihar.

Day 09 - Calicut |
Today you could drive to Beypore, a prominent port and fishing harbour of ancient Kerala. You could visit the fish markets or venture into town and visit the Sweet Meat Street and the many colourful shops.
Visit the Boat yards in Beypore which have been building vessels since early centuries for legendary sea men. The astounding feature is the way in which the boats are built wherein the skilled craftsmen build boats based on just experience-without any drawings or charts. You could also visit a century old tile factory founded by the Germans and later acquired by the British. The century old machinery and systems that are still in use to produce tiles and bricks make for a very interesting visit. Overnight at Harivihar.
